An energy performance certificate is a document that provides information on the energy efficiency of a building or property. It rates the energy efficiency of the building on a scale from A to G, with A being the most efficient and G being the least efficient. The certificate also includes recommendations on how to improve the energy efficiency of the building, such as installing insulation or upgrading heating systems. Energy performance certificates are required when a building is constructed, sold, or rented out in many countries to help promote energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. **

Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) is a financial model used to implement energy efficiency projects in buildings or facilities. In an EPC arrangement, an energy service company (ESCO) designs, finances, installs, and maintains energy efficiency measures in a building. The ESCO is then paid back through the savings generated by the energy efficiency improvements over a specified period of time. EPC allows organizations to upgrade their buildings without upfront capital costs and helps them reduce energy consumption and operating costs. **

The degree of freedom of energy refers to the number of independent ways in which energy can be distributed in a system. In general, the degree of freedom of energy is equal to the number of different types of energy present in the system. For example, a system with only kinetic and potential energy would have two degrees of freedom of energy. This concept is important in understanding the distribution and transfer of energy within a system. **
